Here’s is the list of some of those women who have shown to the world that becoming a mother at the ages of life is possible. Some have even given birth to more than one child.
1. Annegret Raunigk
At the age of 65 when women are planning for retirement or playing with their grandchildren, Annegret Raunigk with 13 children aspired to conceive again. She was a teacher in Berlin and wanted to get pregnant again with several rounds of artificial insemination.
The most unusual fact about Annegret’s pregnancy is that she was pregnant with quadruplets that brings her children to count to 17.
After being rejected by the doctors in Germany for the treatment, she steps to Ukraine where she gives birth to all of them successfully. She is still the oldest woman to give birth to quadruplets.
2. Bhateri Devi Singh
In a country like India where the average age of women is just 68, Bhateri Devi Singh gave birth to a three new life at the age of 70 years. The newborn was conceived through IVF in the northern state of Haryana.
Bhateri’s treatment was carried by Dr. Anurag Bishnoi and he feels proud to achieve the success by leading the whole process. Bhateri and her husband, Deva always aspired of a kid since the 40 years of their marriage.
3. Adriana Iliescu
Adriana Iliescu gives birth to a daughter at the age of 66 years through a cesarean section after trying for the continuous nine years. Adriana was conceived with the triplets but some complications led the two fetuses died in the womb.
Currently, her daughter, Eliza Maria is 14 years old and absolutely fine. In her last interview by Realitatea TV, Adriana said that she was happy to see her daughter grow up her family.
4. Omkari Panwar
Putting down all the criticism by society, Omkari Devi and her husband Charan Singh Panwar became one of the oldest parents in history. Omkari Devi who was 70 years old have two grown-up married daughters and aspires for a son always.
The couple was blessed with the twins, a girl and a boy. Omkari went by IVF treatment which cost them to sell their two buffaloes, mortgage a land and spend their whole life savings.
At the time of the birth, Charan said, “We prayed to God, went to saints and visited religious places to pray for an heir”.
5. Daljinder Kaur
It seems that women in India are the strongest one even in their later ages of life as the third lady in our list, Daljinder Kaur topped the list.
She was declared as the oldest woman to give birth to a son at the age of 72 years. Daljinder Kaur and her husband, 79 years sought fertility treatment for the two years and finally blessed with a son named Arman in 2016.
Daljinder once told media that, “I used to feel empty. There was so much loneliness. I had last hope of becoming a mother ever”. Dr. Anurag Bishnoi led the IVF treatment of the lady.
