Top Most Festivals you should Visit in 2019

Every country has at least one major festivals to celebrate in their calendar. On this special day, people in thousands gathered together and enjoy at their fullest.

However, there are more than 200 countries in the world, so it becomes difficult to mention everyone’s major festivals. Hence, we bring you the list of some of the selective but most popular festivals celebrated all around the world.


1. Fez Festival – Morocco

Started back in 1994, Fez festival of sacred music is held for a week in Fes, Morocco. The festival bring together all the music groups and artists from all over the world. This year, it will be held from 14 to 22 June.

It showcases the major musical traditions of spiritual, sacred and world music. Eminent artists from various religions including Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jewish are expected to perform in the event organised in 2019.

The festival is not only confined to music but also attracts the art and films exhibition along with the  poetry reading events organised for the visitors. The festival perfectly act as a platform to teach people different cultures and communicate with each other in a  better way. The Fez festival is also appreciated by the United Nations for promoting bond between different cultures and religion.

2. Glastonbury Festival – England

The craze for celebrating Glastonbury festival in Britain can easily be understood by the fact that the tickets of the festival are sold within just half an hour as the window is open for the booking of 2019 event in Somerset. The first event was held in 1970 and next year, it will be the 50th anniversary of Glastonbury.

Some 200,000 people are expected to mark their presence during the festival held from June 26 to June 30, 2019. It is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festivals in the world.

Once the festival will get started, it will be like visiting another country with huge number of tents spreading across a wide area and people having wild time together. This year, the visitors are expected to enjoy various art forms like dance, comedy, theater, cabaret and circus.

3. Burning Man – Black Rock City, USA

Burning Man is celebrated in the empty lake bed of Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. It lasts for about 7 days and people participating in the event lives as a self sustaining community.

Around 70,000 people from all over the world lives as a separate community and have their wild costumes on. Spontaneous musical performances, lot of partying and art installations were all done during the celebration. This year, it will be held between 26 August to 2 September.

At the end day of Burning Man festival, a giant wooden man is set on fire to sweep all the past relationships . The participants also known as the ‘Burners’ are expected to bring their food, shelter and everything they need as no money is exchanged at the event.

4. La Tomatina – Bunol, Spain

It will not be wrong if we call La Tomatina festival as the “World’s Biggest Food Fight” with tomatoes. It is usually held at the last Wednesday of August in the town of Bunol, Spain.

Hundred metric tonnes of tomatoes are thrown in the streets that leaves the street in the bright red smattering. People in thousands of number fight with the tomatoes and it lasts for about an hour..

Once the entertaining war is over, people can wash off themselves in a nearby river and join the dance party with the food option organised. La Tomatina is the climax of week-long celebration of Bunol’s patron saint.


5. Oktoberfest – Munich, Germany

The 15 days beer festival, Oktoberfest will be celebrated from September 22 to October 7 this year in Munich city center. The festival is famous enough to attract over 6 million people from all corners of the world.

Not only you will experience all the famous varieties of beer but there also will be colorful market stalls, games, amusement rides and plenty of food dishes includes roasted meats, pretzels and all variety of sausages.

Besides the dominating beer, you will also be served more than 15 different variety of wines especially from Germany. Apart from this, the Bodo Cafe is there to cater you cakes and pastries with your favorite coffee or cocktail.
